I believe many Americans understand that there will always be a portion of the population that won’t believe things that most of us know to be true, no matter how clear those facts may be. That being said, I think most people would make better environmental decisions, social decisions, and overall better general life decisions if we made it easier for them to do so.

HOME SWEET HOME is an app that will use combined data specific to your location/home to draw information about your personal carbon footprint and energy consumption.

This would turn relentless tree-hugger nagging into a tool that gives the user a direct connection to things they could actually do specific to their home and surroundings.

This app focuses on your home’s energy consumption based on information about where your energy is coming from as well as specific options you might have on hand to choose better. In addition, Home Sweet Home could connect you with your local representatives if larger change might need to be legislated along with community groups that are working to make things better.

Currently, consumers are choosing products that give back and are prioritizing climate change and humane practices. This app would help homeowners make better choices in smaller local arenas which ultimately would help shifts on national and international levels.

Most of us want to do better. Most of us really do want to feel safe and protected in our own little oasis and Home Sweet Home will help us make the right choices to get there..
