This Polarized Place

This Polarized Place began as an idea for a website with the goal of breaking down barriers that cause divisions between Americans through showing statistics that we are more alike than we realize.

Four projects came out of the single vision; we are currently looking for financing/grants to launch at least one of them.

The Great Divide

- app
- artificial intelligence
- data visualization
- first data discussions are beginning (only early stages)

The first sparks for this project came from a suspicion that for the most part, Americans really all want the same thing although they have been steered to opposite corners of the ring. It is my hope that Americans will find unity when they discover  the thoughts, hopes, and dreams of “the other side” is not necessarily what they were told to believe.

Gaslight!

- artificial intelligence
- data visualization
- early scouting for partners

With GASLIGHT, Refit Or Die is setting the stage for a series of augmented reality experiences designed in partnership with climate and social justice organizations. These experiences will open the general public’s ability to see the current methods used to stimulate the psychological manipulation of information in society. Our hope is to reveal what is being intentionally orchestrated so we can empower the public to better know how to determine truth from fiction.

Ref

- app
- website
- artificial intelligence
- data visualization
- first data discussions are beginning (only early stages)

THE REF is a combination app and website that uses an artificial intelligence mediator to intervene on a subject as it is being discussed. Using news, media data resources, and fact-checking, along with artificial intelligence that can recognize and de-escalate human behavior during debates or arguments. The Ref will slow down conversations, and pause arguments so that helpful dialog can resume and educate all involved.

THE REF will give us forums where we can learn to discuss important subject matter on which we have lost the ability to talk about collectively.

So You Say

SO YOU SAY is an app based on understanding ones ethnic, national and philosophical identity better. Many of us would describe ourselves according to our ancestries, firmly placing ourselves within certain groups – but what if we’re not what we think? What if our patriotism and religious or personal ideology was also not from the places we imagine?

I hope that this app will reduce the general populations fear of those who aren’t ‘like us’ when everyone realizes that none of us are exactly who we thought we were.
