Blood

Blood is an interactive Augmented Reality Event. The singular AR element is a giant red dot, the color of blood, suspended 100 feet above the forum building overwhelming it as the drop of bloods shadow covers the class room building.

On the shiny deep red surface of the big red ball facing Curtin Road an embossed or darkened symbol, formula or other code will appear. Essentially each of these will be their own riddle or code that once solved will transform into the next symbol, formula or code. Each of these codes will require different colleges across the university to participate to solve the larger message. The first one might be part of a physics formula that only the higher level students and faculty would be able to solve. This first symbol could be combined with a chemical structure model. The two schools would solve the first code/riddle together. The answers/solutions can be entered into an accompanying app or website. Once the first code/riddle is solved it then transforms on the surface of the big red ball into the next. The next one could be a challenge for the college of agriculture or math or engineering as well as one that would combine two again that together they have to solve.

Each of these singular solved codes will combine to make a larger message to/for the university as a whole. A message of unity and strength when we all learn to work together. When we all realize we are more the same than different. When we all realize we bleed the same color blood.

This event uses a single simple object to give our students, designers and involved faculty the opportunity to take on a larger AR experience while easing the coding and design of complex articulated elements. We use scale to create the incredible impact this event could have instead of wildly detailed articulation.
